Youth Club
The current Youth Club meets at the Playing Field Pavilion on Wednesday evenings, running from 6.00-7.30pm for years 6-8 children, and a drop-in centre for teenagers from 7.45-9.00pm. There are already plans for sports teams and a dodge ball team.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
The newly reformed Newton Poppleford Youth Club had its first 3 taster sessions in July and proved to be very popular. The Youth Club, under the leadership of Martin and Jan, formally reopened on Wednesday September 7th at 6.30 p.m. and is operating for 2 hours each week. We believe that we need 2 additional adults at each session to help. So if you could give up a couple of hours on a Wednesday evening to help the youth of our village then please come along. We hope to get 10-12 people into a rota so that each helper only needs to come along say once a month. The club does not meet during the school holidays and most of the meetings will be at The Pavilion, Back Lane, Newton Poppleford.
